We are not sure what triggers Casper. Sometimes Sami is home, sometimes Lizzie is moving around, and sometimes not. But what we have noticed is since the video only captures 6 seconds, what are we missing before and after in the video. Sami decided to purchase a subscription that will capture not only the motion sensor video, but the video before and after.

This video, Sami is in bed, reaching for the fan remote to turn it off, raises her hand toward the fan to turn it off.

This next video shows Casper starting off in the middle of the room, going towards the back wall, then disappears and comes back the other way. He starts mid flight so apparently the camera didn't trigger fast enough and missed the first part. Sami is at work, not at home. Lizzie is at the head of the bed trying to get under the cover:

This following video we captured after purchasing the subscription. It was captured on the camera but did not trigger the camera to stay on but is the extension of Video 3. Lizzie is still at the head of the bed. You can see her eyes open, and then close as Casper flies straight up her eyes open again:
